What is the event?
A documentary screening created for WATP to make visible representation for people and families who have been affected by the disease of Addiction and Mental Health Conditions.
What is this screening about?
The screening follows 6 courageous individuals who are in long-term recovery from SUD. There is a deeper human element behind each of their stories, what life was like in addiction and what life is like in recovery.
What is “We Are Those People”?
“We Are Those People” is a grassroots 501 C3 Nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the narrative of addiction recovery through sharing stories of hope in our community. We are recovering loudly so others don’t suffer silently. We educate through storytelling and film and advocate for Mental Health Care reform.
