Halfway to Sober St. Patrick’s Day ® Sláinte Virtual 5k: Saturday, September 18th, 8:30 a.m.
* The mission of Sober St. Patrick’s Day® is to reclaim the true spirit of St. Patrick’s Day.
* The mission of the SSPD Running Club is to reclaim “Sláinte”—an Irish toast that actually translates to “Health.”
SSPD Treasurer and Running Club Coach Jim Frawley has a special SSPD Sláinte message and invitation to help you so that you hit the ground running while strengthening healthy habits, making new friends, and achieving fitness goals. Everyone is welcome — from fast runners to slow walkers to everyone in between!
Being Healthy is Much More Fun as a Community.
SSPD Running Club’s first virtual 5k and NYC meet-up coincides nicely with the 2021 National Recovery Month theme: “Recovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community.” SSPD is hopeful that our focus on “Sláinte – to your health” will indeed “remind people in recovery and those who support them that no one is alone in the journey through recovery. Everyone’s journey is different, but we are all in this together.”
Once you Register for the SSPD Running Club you’ll receive the details for next month’s Halfway to Sober St. Patrick’s Day® Sláinte 5k: Saturday, September 18th, 8:30 a.m. in NYC, and ways to participate virtually.
