Recovery Walk & Rally 2022

A growing opioid crisis is impacting many
families across Genesee County. It is
estimated that 176 people are dying per day in
the United States from overdose. Many are
dying from the negative effects from
alcohol use and other disorders.
Serenity House of is getting creative in
solving this growing problem by offering, for
the eighth year in a row, the Recovery Walk &
Rally on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from
11am-2pm. The FREE event will be held at
Riverbank Park in downtown Flint. The event
aims to bring awareness around the opioid
crisis as well as the other issues attributed to
substance use disorder.
The event aims to serve our core members
along with 100 new participants inside of the
community which includes the BIPOC
community.
We will have speakers, music, resources,

reduction through this awareness event.
