Recovery Research Summit – Advancing a Recovery Ready Nation

The Global Recovery Initiatives Foundation is hosting the second Recovery Research Summit. The purpose is to bring together the research community that is focusing on the Recovery phase of SUD. This Summit is addressing the White House National Drug Control Strategy section on Recovery. We will have panels of researchers and Recovery Thought leaders who will address the three principles in the Recovery section of the current Strategy:
Principle 1: Expand the Science of Recovery.
(Agencies Involved: DOJ/BOP, OJP; ED/IES; HHS/ASPE, AHRQ, CDC, CMS, HRSA, NIH, SAMHSA; HUD/OPDR; ONDCP; VA/VHA; DOD)
Principle 2: Make Recovery Possible for More Americans
Principle 3: Eliminate Barriers and Increase Opportunities

This is invitation only zoom two day Summit that is focused on bringing together researchers, recovery thought leaders, federal leadership and foundations. September 14th we will open with remarks from the Director of ONDCP and then a Fireside Chat with the Director of NIDA, NIAAA, Assistant Secretary of SAMSHA(invite pending) and the Surgeon General ( invite pending).

Global Recovery Board member Dr. Andrea Barthwell is chairing the Summit with a planning committee of federal, researchers, and foundation leaders.

This summit will be held over two days. Wednesday, September 14 begins at 3pm EST and ends at 5:30pm. Wednesday September 15 begins at 11:00 EST and ends at 5:30 EST
