Recovery Rally

The Never Alone Clubhouse proposes to host an outdoor Recovery Rally at the RCO on September 25, 2021. The idea is to promote awareness about recovery by providing information to citizens about resources that are available in the community for individuals and their families who are in recovery, seeking recovery, and/or are allies of recovery. The Rally will have family-oriented activities, including face-paintings, carnival games, live music, and prize giveaways, as well as informational brochures about local recovery resources available in Douglas County. Local community organizations will have booths set up to provide information about their services and giveaway items. Examples include MH/SA Screenings, Hep C Rapid Testing, Good Samaritan Food Bank baked goods giveaway, FSNB Bank providing second-chance banking opportunities, Elwood Staffing providing employment opportunities to returning citizens, needs assessments by Loving Hands Ministries, Narcan training and information about the GA Overdose Prevention- Don’t Run, Call 911- Medical Amnesty Bill, engagement/activities from local Law Enforcement, coverage and participation from 94.9 The Bull radio station, and Speakers from Individuals in Recovery sharing their recovery journey. A memorial sky lantern release at dusk will conclude the Rally. The Rally will be held outdoors in the parking lot area of The Never Alone Clubhouse and will adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols, including hand sanitizing stations, social distancing, and disinfectant procedures. Portions of the Rally will be broadcast on Facebook live.
