In Spring 2020, a Gamecock Recovery member decided to raise awareness about substance use disorder and recovery in students’ lives at the University of South Carolina. Gabe Thompson created a powerful film about the unique experiences of college students in recovery. By registering for this event, you will receive the link to view the film, and be invited to a virtual/live panel on September 4, 3-4PM. The panel will consist of Gabe Thompson, who filmed the mini-doc, current students in recovery at UofSC, the Director of Substance Abuse Prevention and Education, and the Gamecock Recovery Coordinator. They will be present to answer any questions you may have about the creation of the film, experiences of students in recovery, how to create a more inclusive recovery campus and more.
