Nevada’s Recovery and Prevention invites you to join us in celebrating Recovery Month by registering to attend our Recovery 5k run/walk Celebration. September marks National Recovery Month (32nd year) and is observed to educate Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can empower those with mental and substance use disorders to live healthy and rewarding lives. NRAP would like to host this event to honor those in recovery or living a sober life, as well as family, friends and allies!
The R5k will take place on Saturday, September 25th at IdleWild Park.
Race start times will be staggered and start as follows:
Runners: 9:00 AM, line up at 8:50 am.
Joggers 9:15 AM, line up at 9:05 am.
Families, strollers, and walkers 9:30 AM, line up at 9:20 am.
When you sign up for the Recovery 5k run/walk Celebration, you are supporting all individuals in recovery. The goal of this race is to raise awareness and break the stigma for those entering or maintaining recovery by supporting a well balanced, active lifestyle.
We encourage all those in recovery, allies, advocates and loved ones to participate in our Recovery 5k!
