Rally 4 Recovery: Movie Night

September is recognized as National Recovery Month. It’s the time of year that we take a moment to celebrate our journeys and recognize new milestones. This year our annual event will be different because of the pandemic. We will be celebrating connections in recovery and spreading the message of hope to others – all from the safety of our cars!

You’re invited to join Portland Recovery Community Center for a safe and responsible version of our beloved annual Rally 4 Recovery, but with a twist. We are hosting movie night at the drive-in. Gathering together, we will celebrate, welcome guest speakers, share local resources, announce a PRCC Community Art Project, and enjoy the classic movie “The Goonies” – all from the comfort of your car.

Organized by people in recovery, allies, friends, and families – we are working hard to make this event possible as safely as possible. If you can’t attend the Saco Drive-In, we will be sharing the speakers, resources and more on our page on Facebook.

Unlike most years, you will have to register for this year’s rally. It’s easy to register! Each registration is for one vehicle: this means that however many people safely fit in your car are all registered under your name. We urge everyone to follow the CDC recommendations, and we encourage you to carpool only with those within the same household or who are already exposed to one another. We won’t have our usual tables, food trucks, or refreshments, but each car will get a tote (or totes) of goodies to take home.
