This year on August 26th, we will acknowledge and support the people in our communities who go unrecognized by raising awareness of the hidden impacts of overdose and promoting education of overdose response in an event at Breese Northside Park from 6:30-9:00pm. There will be music, light refreshments, recovery supports information tables, and speakers sharing their experiences with overdose. Free Narcan will be available and a brief training in its use if you need it. If you lost someone to overdose, we encourage you to bring a picture of them along for our memorial table. This event is for anyone who lost a loved one to substance use overdose, those interested in helping bring substance use recovery supports to Clinton County, those currently using substances, people in recovery, and families with loved ones who are or have been addicted to substances.
