“Masked Faces of Recovery” art exhibit is an expression of the stories and experiences of people in recovery at The University of South Carolina. This project will raise awareness about the experiences of substance use disorder and recovery. This program creates a SAFE environment to support students in their academic and personal goals, directly and through community based experiences.
This is an impact project mentored by SAFE Project to honor a 19 year old student, Jonathan Winnefeld, who overdosed on University of Denver campus on his 3rd day of Freshman year.
Join us virtually on September 29 at 4PM-4:30PM to receive a tour of the artwork and to hear from the student who facilitated the event. From 4:30-6:00PM, the zoom webinar will continue informally for people to “drop in” at any time to view the artwork.
