Hands Across the Bridge

Hands Across the Bridge is an annual event that meets in Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, WA to celebrate the recovery work that has happened all year long. We open our events with Native American Drumming and a prayer that is followed by various recovery speakers and legislators committed to serving the recovery community. During our event we release doves to represent hope for recovery journeys and remembrance for those we have lost to addiction. To close our event the Native American drummers lead us to the i5 bridge where we meet the opposing state participants and join hands to have a tug boat signal us at the right time to have all participants close our event with the serenity prayer.
