Beyond Treatment: Comprehensive Primary Care for Patients Who Use Drugs

This virtual workshop answers the question: “Hey, my patient is not about to stop using drugs, what do I do now?”  The faculty will present a toolkit suitable for all varieties of primary care providers (adult, pediatric, OB, geriatric) including how to do health care maintenance, monitor for complications, counsel on safer use and how to reduce inherent stigma in clinician language and assumptions.  Special aspects of harm reduction during the COVID pandemic will be discussed.  This highly interactive virtual workshop will be offered “live” and is limited to 60 participants.
