Ecker Center for Behavioral Health will host its third annual client Art Show and Sale September 10th from 5 to 7 pm. This year, the event will take place at Ecker Center, 1845 Grandstand Place, in the first floor common area. The show is open to the public and free of charge. Temperatures will be taken and masks will be required. Additionally, social distancing will be enforced. “This is such an important event for our clients we wanted to do everything possible to make sure the show could go on as planned,” said Kay Catlin, fundraising manager for Ecker Center. “This year we’re pleased to showcase a couple new artists including a fabulous balloon sculptor.” Not only does the art offer a compelling look into the lives of those living with mental illness, it’s also very good in its own artistic right, Catlin said. “This year we’re asking that any art not sold be loaned to Ecker for display. We have a lot of walls to fill and are looking forward to providing a proper showcase for our artists’ talent.” For more information, contact Kay Catlin at 847-695-0484 x 1395 or kcatlin@eckercenter.org
